KNB Shines in Quebec City
This year, thirty New Brunswick athletes and coaches made the trip to Quebec City to compete in the 2017 Karate Canada National Championships. This was the largest team that Karate New / Nouveau Brunswick has sent in many years, if not the largest ever, and included eighteen new-comers.
This year, New Brunswick athletes came home with a total of eight medals.

Kate Campbell was also named the 2017 Karate Canada Senior Female Athlete of the Year.
Randy Rix, head coach for Karate New / Nouveau Brunswick, was named the 2017 Karate Canada Coach of the Year for his work with the NB Provincial Team, as well as his efforts with Team Canada as Regional Coach for the Atlantic Provinces.
Karate New / Nouveau Brunswick wishes to congratulate Kate, Randy, all the medal winners, and everyone who worked so hard this year on the provincial team. We are proud of your efforts and accomplishments, and we look forward to watching you continue to grow is the sport of karate.
